Answer

There are two levels of alumni borrowing privileges for print materials:

  • SAIS only borrowing privileges  - $100 / year
  • All JHU Libraries borrowing privileges  - $200 / year

To request borrowing privileges, visit the SAIS Library Circulation Desk or email saislibrary@jhu.edu.

Alumni borrowing has a 50-book maximum and does not include interlibrary loan or Borrow Direct. We regret that many of our e-book collections rely upon JHED authentication, on- or off-campus, so are not available to alumni. However, please ask a research librarian for help in identifying a local library that may have the materials you want.

New May SAIS MA graduates may extend their borrowing privileges through August of the same year upon payment of a $25 refundable deposit at the Circulation Desk. This applies to SAIS books only.
