SAIS does have the “Cross-National Time-Series Data Archive" (CTNS) [Catalyst record]. It can be borrowed for a 6-week loan.

The Cross-National Time-Series Data Archive is a longitudinal national data series and provides ranges of annual data from 1815 to April 2013 for all countries with many variables. General categories include demographic, social, political, and economic topics.

You’ll receive two items with the CNTS: 1) A CD with the data and accompanying user’s manual and other documents and 2)  a binder with printouts of some of the documents on the CD (the user’s manual, codebook, etc.).
