1.  What is JHED?

The Johns Hopkins Enterprise Directory (JHED) system is an online, comprehensive source of contact information for Johns Hopkins University.  All SAIS students, faculty and staff have a JHED account. Your JHED Login ID is the username that you use when you log into the myJH portal.

2.  Why would I want to access JHED?

To access library resources from work, home, or on the road. Follow the links from the SAIS Library home page, or Catalyst (, and then use your JHED login to access resources such as:

  • Scholarly databases
  • Online journals and newspapers
  • RefWorks to manage your citations
  • Ebooks from the Catalyst

3.  How do I obtain my JHED account information?
If you don't know your login ID,  go to the JHU Portal at , search your name and click on  "first-time login" to obtain a password.

If you know your JHED ID but forgot your password you can reset it from the Forgot Your Password  link.
